About the event
The purpose of the Gigaton Challenge is to reduce 30 tons of carbon emission in a period of 3 months.
Towards that goal, we will collect food waste in the city of Kampala from markets, hotels, schools, and streets. We will use this waste to make compost that the community can use to grow food in our gardens using organic manure. This will help to restore the soil structure and reduce pollution.
